Default Upcoming Tesla Model S

Something fun I thought I'd share. It's no secret that the Model S Plaid will be debuting soon, highlighting performance. But my friend at Tesla just showed me a prototype interior that will move the infotainment screen horizontal like the Model 3 BUT it will be recessed like the current Model S, so it won't look tacked on. A few other upgrades in material selection and build quality are also in the works!

Looks like a Model 3. This is probably the reason they are shutting down the Model S/X line for a couple weeks to upgrade the line for the refresh. I can't wait for the new Plaid model to lay waste to everything when it comes out

That's just a stock photo that shows the current side by side.

From what I understand it's mainly because the S and X are niche and orders have slowed. Meanwhile 3 and Y are moving at an incredible pace

The 3 and Y move for a reason. The S and X are both considerably more expensive. Simply costs too much to get into one.

Sorry, should have read more carefully. I'm sure the Model S will look much more premium than the 3 given the price difference. I've also heard of the S/X having slowed but I think it could be due to the refresh and needing to upgrade the lines and to avoid the Osborne effect on the current inventory.

Actually if you re-read my post, I mentioned that while the screen position will change, it will still be recessed like the current Model S. That's the big news. Not tacked on like the Model 3.

But will they keep the cluster in front of the driver is my question.
