Been spotted testing again. Genesis's answer to the E53 AMG and S6. Allegedly it'll use a tuned version of the TTV6 to bump the output to 420+ horsepower.
Given the popularity of crossovers, Genesis should have made a GV80 Sport before a G80 Sport. Guess the Korean home market, where sedans are still far more popular than crossovers, supersedes the rest of the world.

More likely, Genesis is anticipating so much demand for the regular (non-Sport) GV80 that the factory will barely be able to keep up with that demand alone, much less additional demand for a Sport model. There's no sense offering something that you won't be able to produce....or keep potential customers waiting months for.
Seen this in person. Lovely car. So much better in person than in pics. I would have been nice if the car hit 400hp..but oh well. Interesting how Lexus beat everyone to rear wheel steering with the LS years ago. That steering wheel is so much better than the football Genesis uses
I'm confused. In a previous post you said "So Interesting how Lexus beat everyone to rear wheel steering with the LS years ago." This isn't the case?
In the modern era (). I can’t think of any brand since the 2003 GMC Sierra that had rear wheel steering. Lexus LS came out with it for 2019 then the new Mercedes S class this year now has it…now the G80. Feel free to correct me if the Lexus LS is not the first luxury brand in the modern era to do it

i did sit on one recently, and was blown away but how good it felt and looked.
Yea. Felt like Lexus 90s in that is was something so different and so new. Definitely great in person. Pics don’t bring out the charm.

Rear wheel steering has been around since 1985, before Lexus was even born.
There are basically two different types of rear-wheel-steering. One, a simpler and less-expensive system, uses designed-in-changes in the camber and toe-in/out of the rear suspension as the vehicle corners and body-rolls with side-G-forces to allow the rear wheels to assist in the vehicle's yaw-response. The second, which is more expensive, requires more parts/assembly, and more difficult to repair, has active steering-linkages to the rear wheels that forces them to assist the yawing of front-wheels in turns.

Lexus has offered rear-wheel steering on the IS, GS, RC, LC, all years before the LS.
Rear-wheel steering is about as common on cars since the 2000s as a limited slip differential.
