It's okay. Slow, small, but nice interior. Also, range isn't great. I wonder if it will sell okay.

I really like this but the packaging is quite poor zero foot space for back seat passengers, no frunk. On the upside the interior is really nice and more traditional if you like that kind of thing. Infotainment is typical Lexus bad.

This and MX-30 are weird siblings. Tried to like MX-30 but Honda e is so far ahead of the curve compared to it.

There is just no way to properly make an electric car when you dont start with an electric platform. This is just a holdover type vehicle until Toyomoco and Lexus decide to actually invest and bring a pure EV to market.

What is the purpose of the giant grille opening for an EV? I think they might have gained a couple more miles of range if they would have closed it up with a fake grill opening.

It’s part of Lexus’ current design philosophy. Ugly bumper, vastly underperforming drivetrain, premium price. Can you dig it?

Agreed. Modular platforms are compromised for EVs as you need a bottom up platform to wring out any inefficiencies that hinder range. But, a ICE derived EV is still better than none at all.

I would think mostly for packaging. It is no coincidence that all pure EVs have their battery packs on the floor since it is a way to put as many batteries in the car, without compromising center of gravity. When you take a regular ICE vehicle, and turn it into an EV, all you really have is the trunk and some of the floor to put the batteries. Thus these converted EVs will have less range than their competitors.
