I dumped the Pacifica... for another Pacifica...
But yes, leases on Hondas are never crazy cheap as they don't care to buy up the residuals like most OEMs typically have to.
I really don't think the updated Odyssey will be at MSRP. We got our 2019 (I know 2nd model year) but just as the 2019's were hitting the lots and still had 2018's available and got a very good discount from College Park Honda up in Maryland. Had discussed everything through email and basically went in for final test drive and signing of the paperwork. So discounts won't be as high as on the 2020's, but I don't think it'll be gap up to MSRP.
I'm not worried about the drivetrain, its all the electrical, suspension etc problems I've had. It really seems to be hit or miss for FCA. My business partner had a 2015 GC and his was in the shop for 3 months, Chrysler wound up giving him $7,000 for his trouble (attorney negotiated it for him), yet my 2014 was great...
I'm going to bring her a Palisade and an Atlas next and see if her desire for that technology will get her off the sliding doors.
steve, not sure if you're making this about you, or about your wife.
i know you'd like an suv and she'd like a minivan. you're trying to convince her to get over (get an suv) and it not being a minivan (i.e., no sliding doors), but i think you're trying to rationalize getting an odyssey despite all the flaws and limitations you saw, especially 360 cam which is hugely valuable in a large vehicle. it's astonishing that honda doesn't offer it.

Right now the only way to have the technology she wants is to get a crossover. Not buying another Pacifica.
I was going to throw the idea of a XT6 out there, but after reading a few reviews...not so sure. In theory sounds good with night vision and eventually super cruise. Pretty cool safety features, but owners have some complaints on Cars.com and Edmunds. Not such a glowing review on Car and Driver. We really liked our 2014 Odyssey. It was very handy when a family member became ill. But we have a saying in our family....When you need a minivan...you need a minivan...when you don't...you don't! I did read enough to know the newer Odysseys had more issues being reported.

I know Sedona is going to be too late for consideration this round. But wanted to share two new interior shots
I think your twins are at the age where sliding doors are becoming less important. If you think of owning this car for the next 3 years, it'll become completely insignificant. I'd see if you can get your wife to think 12 months ahead. A luxury cross-over should be completely sufficient and outright superior in many ways.
I've got twins slightly older than yours and we've stuck with an SUV (GX, now an LX) the entire time and occasionally we end up in a minivan rental on trips. While I can occasionally see some of the minivan utility as I look back on the younger years, it's completely irrelevant now (8 year old kids) and I personally feel some of the better CUV's are WAY better than a minivan once you get over the lack of a sliding door which becomes way less necessary as the kids age.

I totally agree. Her rationale was having to lean into the car to buckle them in, in the Pacifica they are still in 5 point harnesses. But, they can buckle those themselves and in my car they are in high back boosters and buckle their own belts.
Bottom line is, I’m not getting another vehicle I have to take to the shop every week. I just don’t have the time or energy to deal with that. She’ll adapt.
