Why not make it a TT V8 like Mercedes does? Also those are the worse rims possible. I hate them, They need to offer at least 5 different wheel choices at this price point.

There's nothing efficient about any V8

The engine on these cars is a Gem, yes its not the fastest but much fun to drive and the car looks nothing else like on the road.

But what about rolling out entirely new V6 TT engines? That's not efficient. Why not use the current already made Reliable V8 and Turbo it and put it in their F cars.

They need a new engine, that engine is really quite old. You can’t just make the same thing forever.

The reason why Lexus doesn’t offer a ton of customizations and such is it just doesn’t fit in with their manufacturing philosophy

they used an existing proven engine, sounds efficient to me. LS engine had just come out

I mean you can't just put a turbo on this V8 and call it a day.

I don't recall Toyota or Lexus ever offering an upgraded engine that added turbo after an engine was out for a while. I do recall Toyota adding superchargers to their truck engines, but I don't think that lasted and I think they were added as dealer acccesory. I think there is a lot of electric work in the new LS500 engine that would never work with the older 5.0 The Lexus marketing and approach was "naturally aspirated" and it seemed to work the media...( I thought the naturally aspirated marketing strategy was a little cliche IMO)

If rumormill is to be believed, the TTV8 from Lexus should be 4.0 liters (apparently based on two 2.0 I4's mashed together). Again rumormill

Should we be nitpicky that it's not built from the ground up, or should we be happy a TTV8 is coming to fruition. The choice is upon everyone
