2021 Lexus LC
911 argument? Sure, if you want to be just another guy with run of the mill 911 driving around then at least get it in some crazy color and not in black, silver or primer neutrals like most of them do.
If you want refined coupe with exotic looks I don't know what else is there in the price range? Which bring me to the main argument and the direct LC rival BMW 840i. It's tad bit faster over 60, has a lot more technology both inside out but it doesn't have the looks, it blends in the parking lot unlike LC.
I would much rather have the V8 too. I have no interest in the hybrid LC as it is too heavy, too expensive, too slow, most buyers and reviewers agree, the V8 is the one you want, avoid the hybrid. If they put the 3.5tt in the LC and dumped the hybrid, it would solve all the problems of the hybrid LC, it would be cheaper, lighter weight, more interesting driver, and quicker. Even though I would still want the V8, I would not mind the 3.5tt V6 with around 420hp so much, especially if I was saving a nice amount of money over the V8.
Unfortunately the LC-F is likely going to priced 30K to 40K more then the LC500 which means hardly anyone is going to buy it, they will likely dump the NA V8 when they offer the ttV8 but still keep that awful hybrid which means the LC days might be numbered after that move.
Hybrid the reason why sales are slow? Nope. Hybrid keeps the LC afloat in the markets where luxury diesel coupes are still selling more than twin turbo petrol six or eight cylinders. You still get two thirds of the performance of NA V8 but you also get two times more of gas mileage. And you avoid super tax each year. But yeah you loose that V8 roar audio experience which matters more than performance if you ask me.
Depends what you want from your car. If you want performance for the dollar they you can always get GT-R or that new Corvette or you can go even cheaper and get Camaro ZR1 or Mustang GT500, all of these would be much quicker cars than LC. Maybe you can squeeze in new NSX in there with some discounts.

Two different segments imho. Some folks want a small house in a good neighborhood, another person wants a big house in a lesser neighborhood. But the two buyers are not cross-shopping.
I would. I would never even consider an M3, LC500 is a much more appealing car to me. I don't care about 0-60 times, I want a great looking high quality car thats a great tourer with a good V8.
The issue with this car is MARKETING!
They also messed up by not offering enough trunk space for golf clubs at least it doesn’t seem they can fit.
This car is for older gentleman that would consider MB SL, BMW 850i, 911, Aston Martin DB11, Ferrari Portofino.
Its a GT car that is sporty.
M3/M4 is much smaller/lighter and will run circles around LC500.
Thats not its mission. It’s a much different driving experience.
This car has limited customization with mostly boring exterior colors, ugly wheels, limited performance/aero parts etc. Issue is Japan refuses to cater to the tastes of upper level luxury shoppers. They are using same formula for LC as they do for RX/ES.
The least Lexus Can do is make a commercial just playing the amazing sound of the engine and exhaust.
Show how quick the downshifts are in manual mode with 10speed auto. This car is the best Lexus besides original LS and LFA.

I agree. LC500 is more appealing as a luxury cruiser.
