Default Taking off TINT...

Hey guys,

My dad was driving my old car which was the honda. Before it became the family car, I tinted the windows all around. Anyways, he was pulled over last month and have to take off the tint on the driver side and passenger window.

I checked online and they said the easiest way to take off the tint was to wet the inside and put a plastic bag behing the window so that it gets moist. That way it peels right off.

Do you guys have any other recommendations? thanks

Get a hold of one of the corners and pull back the entire sheet. If there is residual adhesive, a razor blade with soap and water will remove it.

As an ex installer, let me say you are exactly correct. there is no faster way to do it, and no better way. this is the standard procedure in the industry. you'll peel off the tint then shoot the leftover glue with soapy water or windex and use a razor to scrape the residue off. it is a simple procedure and shouldnt take but 30 seconds per window doing as such.

when i got my ticket for limo tint, the guy did the same thing, just make sure the blade is really sharp and don't be scared to get the car wet. its going to happen.

Can i recommend a STANLEY type blade, not a double edge razor blade...less you find pleasure in pain...
