New Kia Logo
Yea, this new logo is a huge improvement. It really seems like the majority of people hate the current logo. So many owners change it out for the Korean market Kia symbol. Never bothered me honestly, but I can see why ppl don't like it.
With all of that said, ironic as it seems, the first mod I did to my Stinger was replace the kia logo with the Stinger cursive script on the trunk. Lmao!!
But it wasn't because I disliked the logo, the script just looks better. Plus, every market outside of North America came that way from factory except for the US which followed suit year later anyway.

This is a very smart branding move by KIA. When brands get to a certain point, removing the script and have a logo/symbol takes the brand even further (looking for a word there to describe).
Starbucks removed the script from their logo years ago...Federal Express turned into FEDEX. TOYOTA once never had a logo....nobody needs to know the script APPLE....
This is more a branding logo than it is a script.

My 04 4Runner also says Toyota in the back...not my new one.....Lexus ditched the lettering 10 years back. Just identified by the logo as they drive by.

Its a previous version of the logo that they have already refined. Its not just the red, the font and sizing are different, the Kia letters in the center and the chrome ring are raised instead of having it be totally flush.
Companies refine logos all the time. A lot of times its so subtle you don't even really notice.
They're relying on their logo to carry the brand without reinforcing it with the name of the company. For instance Toyota and Lexus both still use their name emblem alongside their logo outside of North America.
They still have a logo to refine though. Most people don't realize that the Lexus logo was refined a few years back and is a little different than it used to be.
