Default 2020 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series is a green goddess

This year's Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series walked in fields of gold with Flare Yellow paint outside, a splash of matching Alcantara inside, and white, semi-aniline leather seats. The 2020 version of the LC 500 Inspiration Series takes to emerald seas with exclusive Nori Green Pearl paint — nori being the edible seaweed that tries to make an honest living wrapping sushi or onigiri. This time the two-tone interior doesn't take its cue from the outside, opting for tan and amber contrasts. Lexus says the aesthetic game of dress-up "aims to evoke a more refined, mature coupe," even though we're certain two of the LC 500's most profound attributes are refinement and maturity.

Semi-aniline 10-way adjustable seats are stitched up in Saddle Tan leather exclusive to this model, paired with slightly darker Alcantara trim on the door panels. The instrument panel, center console, steering wheel, and the rest of the doors are fitted with Black Amber leather. Brown cross-stitching not only cues the color of the seats, its visibility should earn appreciation for "highlighting the fanatical precision of each stitch." As with the 2019 model, the special 2020 LC 500 will be limited to 100 units in the U.S. A custom, laser-cut sill plate that evokes the geometric shapes found in the taillights will inform everyone crossing the threshold of the coupe's rarity. The package sits on two-tone, 21-inch wheels.

The powertrain hasn't been touched, motivation provided by the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 471 horsepower shifting through a 10-speed automatic. Lexus says it will release price information closer to the on-sale date later this year. A standard LC 500 costs $92,950 before destination; the 2019 LC 500 Inspiration Series asked $106,210 before destination, so don't expect much change from $110,000 if you're interested.

How about offering some better looking wheels for the LC.

I like it. I agree with UDel, they need to do something with the ugly wheels on the LC.

We have a yellow LC500 on the showroom at the dealership I work at. That Flare Yellow looks incredible in person. I bet this green will look good too.

You might have already seen it. It is one of the colors offered on the UX, keep an eye out, it's gorgeous

Lexus PLEASE understand LUXURY buyers want to Customize their cars!
See Porsche, Corvette, BMW, MB for reference!

These Limited special editions just sit and collect dust at dealers. My local dealer still has a 2018 RCF 10th Anniversary car...

BTW I’m a big fan of the LC500. Besides the LFA, it is by far the best Lexus ever made.
The car has been marketed poorly and really setup to fail. Hopefully the new Convertible model and upcoming LC-F will create some much needed buzz.
Not many cars I have driven that I enjoyed more than LC500.

Lexus PLEASE also understand that LUXURY buyers of $100k sports cars want power and bragging rights. You do not yet possess the prestige and desirability to be charging that amount of money for a relatively underpowered sports car, no matter how pretty the colors are.

I don't know how you became to be this misinformed that the LC is underpowered but in this segment, the LC500 is not considered underpowered.

The 2019 S Class coupe, a TT v8 and segment competitor that costs $30k more at base is only 463, compared to LC's 471 and they're both rated at 4.5 second 0-60.

In this segment and price range, only the Jaguar F-Type and BMW 8 Series (which just came out) has more HP than the LC.

Since when has Corvette been a luxury vehicle?!?!

All very true. PLENTY of hp for the street. It's not a race car, it's a luxury grand tourer. It does that well also.

Exactly. Corvette is not even under a luxury brand name. It’s a Chevrolet.

Keep on crapping on Corvette buyers.
Is 911 a luxury car? Until the 991 generation their interior and features were crap!
Go sit in a C7 Corvette- the car had amazing luxury features for its time when it came out in 2014.
The new one takes it to a whole new level especially on 3LT trim.

The 911 and Corvette buyers are older men (55+) who want a fun car that sits in a garage 90% of the time. Its an emotional purchase not a need. Therefore its a LUXURY item!
