Default 2018 Lincoln Navigator

Looks good to me. I like the interior. Not sure on the tablet screen but everyone has it now. The nice touch is those armrests on the center console. I really like where Lincoln is going. 450HP sounds good as well. To me, this a very competitive product.

Grill will take some getting used to, however if Cadillac has taught us anything people in this segment love big grills and bling. Interior looks nice and power train should be great. Please kill those wheels with fire, just terrible. I hope they have optional wheels available.

^ I would imagine there will be alternative wheels. I like the front end. Much better than the LX front. On par with Cadillac IMO.

LOL, and people say the Acura beak was bad? grill looks tacky as hell IMO - but maybe that's their target buyer.

aren't Cadillac sales down???

General Motors has spent billions of dollars trying to capture the imagination of a younger buyer. And yet, in America, Caddy sales fell 3 percent in 2016. The truth is that after a sales peak in 1978 (with a reported volume of 374,000 vehicles sold), Cadillac has struggled to hold onto loyal customers, losing battle to Ford's Lincoln, and then a steady parade of German and Japanese luxury brands that gradually ate larger portions of Caddy's lunch, year after year.

In 2016, Cadillac sold just over 170,000 cars and SUVs domestically—that's less than half the 374,000 Mercedes.

IMHO the cadillac has nothing on the lx at all. With that being the navigator def doesn't have anything on the LX just look at the interior. And I for one love the spindle grille. If i was in the market the Lx would be suv of choice anyday. The navigators interior looks just like a town car.

Style and looks are subjective, but I have no idea what you are talking about. Looks like a Town Car???

what I meant was that the air vents look like they have been pulled out from the rear of a town car. Anyways i would never buy this over a LX or a matter of fact i wouldnt buy anything but a LX

Not certain how air vents "should look" they seem simple and functional to me. But to say that the whole interior looks like that from a long ago canceled Town Car because of a few simple HVAC vents seems like a bit of a stretch. Frankly I prefer these vents over the stupid looking round vents Mercedes is using.

Don't seem so different than the ones used in the LX

I don't think the LX has anything on the Escalade. Size, power, torque, MPG, towing capacity, price, prestige all favor in the Cadillac I think the Escalade has now also added 4WD LO range as well. It won a Motor Trend comparo a few months back.

^ The LX is screwed together A LOT tighter than the Escalade and has a way nicer interior IMO. I will agree with you that the engine and driving dynamics(drives/handles/feels a lot smaller than it is) are great on the Escalade though, better than the LX/Land Cruiser.

What will be interesting is if Ford has finally managed to even come close to the driving dynamics and acceleration/throttle response of the Escalade with this new Navigator. In the past there was no comparison, the Escalade was way faster and drove way nicer than the Navigator. This was true back in ye olden boaty days of Eldorados, Devilles, Mark V's and Town Cars as well.

IDC about any of those things if i'm spending that much money i can afford the gas too. And I believe the LX destroys the Cadillac in terms of looks inside out build quality and def prestige. When you go in the hood you see escalade with spinner wheels. Never till this day have I seen a LX with spinner wheels let alone in the hood. And the argument can be made that the cadillac is a gussied up subarbun just like people make the land cruiser argument about the LX. Anyways its my money and no doubt I would choose the LX as my luxury suv.

A number of obvious Continenal and MKZ touches inside and out, which perhaps is not surprising. Unlike the ornate Continental, though, the center of the dash is much simpler and plainer-looking, and notice a major change to the P R N D transmission buttons....they have been moved to a horizontal location below the screen and air vents, somewhat similar to GMC's new Terrain.

Time for the "tacked on screen" look to die; it looks bad in every application, this one included. Glad Lexus resisted the urge in the new LS.
