Good deal I know what's going on my rears when the time comes....guess I lucked out the new OE fronts came with used LS (selling dealer installed)......it's that Centric statement about the hours of salt water rust resistance seriously that sold me....I'll just use Akebono ProActs as well, and skip OE pads....I do have a new shim kit for the front/rear that are currently missing (didn't open the bag but I believe it's 2 shims per side or 8 per axle)...
One of the many things that I like about Buicks is that they (and other GM products) come from the factory with rustproof rotors. I have had several Buicks, and never noticed a speck of rust on any of the rotors....even after long exposure to humid/wet conditions.

I had some Zimmermann rotors on my GTI that had a rust-resistant coating as well. They looked really strange compared to other rotors.
Not the clearest image, but you can kinda see that the rotors have a soft coating that is supposed to protect them during transport and storage. The rotor hats also have this coating, which should hopefully keep them nice-looking for a long time. As you can see below, the coating wears off the rotor surface pretty quickly. The below image was captured a few days after install, with a hundred or so miles of driving.
What I noticed with Lexus/Toyota rotors is the rotor hat gets rusty very quickly. Then I look at my neighbors lowly two plus years-old 2 Series Gran Coupe and see no rust at all.

All it takes is a relatively inexpensive coating, like the OE ones on that 2-series have:
By contrast, here's an OE rotor for an RX, with just a little oil to keep it from rusting before you buy it:
