Top 10 Lexus Models of All Time

The list is totally subjective to the author. Mine personally, would have probably been mostly coupes. Something like an LFA, 2JZ swapped SC, RC F GT3, GS F and the CT 200h.

What would you guys say are the ones that would make your list?

 

Not really sure what my top 10 would be, but I know it wouldn't include the HS.

It would have the original LS400 and SC, for sure, as well as the LFA and the IS F. After that, I'm not so sure.

 

second gen GS, LS, ES, and RX are the ones that should be in the top 5; those cars are still prevalent on the road.

 

We should make a poll, so everyone can vote

 

I would say maybe most innovative, but certainly not best overall, for some of these entries.

Also... On the IS 300...

This is specifically talking about the IS 300h, not the IS 300 (which has the same V6 as the IS 350). The article should be updated to correct this.

Besides, the "300" is just the powertrain designation. Saying the IS 300 of now is at all related to that one is... odd. However, it's entirely possible Lexus wanted to revive the IS 300 name with the mid-level V6 version of today's IS.

 

1. LS400 (built like a vault and still handsome)
2. SC300/400 (still beautiful)
3. RX (because it created the crossover trend)
4. 2GS300/430 (truly competitive in its day with beautifully finished interior, guages, etc.)
5. 4GS F-Sport (managed to win comparo tests against BMW and Mercedes)
6. IS-F
7. LFA
8. 1IS (fun to drive an introduced an entry level Lexus)
9. SC430 (best interior this side of a Bentley and sold like crazy for a while)

Can't really think of any others.

 

Unfortunately, one of them never saw production.

 

That list definitely has major flaws... the HS would have never made it on my list and the LFA would have NEVER been left out of my list!
