Nobody cares about a high performance Lexus LS.

 

You have to understand that what people on CL care about, and what the everyday consumer cares about are two different things. Of the 11,000 7 Series sold in the US last year...how many do you think were 740s? My guess is ~10,000, if not more. If you were to read the BMW forums you'd think everybody buys the 750.

CL posters, like posters on any forum are enthusiast consumers. Thats a pretty small percentage of consumers.

 

You are 100% correct about enthusiast consumers. We're very rare...

Before long the RC-F power-train will be dropped into the LS and there's our HP jump with the same number of horses as the S550 without turbos/superchargers!

 

I wish that were happening sooner than later. Or at least with the GS...

 

Sorry, i should have really posted here earlier about PatSoxFans new ride.

I have done quite a bit of research on the newest S550, and in my honest opinion, this car is in a different class than any LS460. . . The quality is unprecedented, the materials are superior, and this car is simply stunning!

As much as i enjoy my car (even with all the options) i feel as the though this is a step above, and a possible next option unless Lexus really steps up their game.

 

we will see I have confidence no longer can lexus just bank on reliability as other manufacturers have caught up.

 

With all this MB talk, yall should really take that convo over to car chat forum. I like the 550 too, don't get me wrong..but I wouldn't brag about my LS on the S Class threads of a Benz forum..just sayin...

To be fair, this is his thread he posted to discuss his decision to trade the LS on the S550....it's not like additional threads are being started, etc...

Damn! I just heard from the dealer. Evidently, the truck makes a lot of stops on the way to KC. So, the ETA is slated for Thursday, March 27. Oh well. I will survive (barely). At least, March Madness is helping to take my mind off the car.
