Lexus to Cancel ES?

Well, these days, it doesn't hurt to be a Buick....even a Japanese one.
Granted, the Avalon doesn't have the spindle-grille (which I'm not a fan of in the first place). But the interior, particularly on the Limited version, is Lexus-grade through and through.
Plus it does not have the styling cues to pass for a Lexus, you might see them, but I sure don't.

IMO the Avalon-ES are so close to each other the discussion just comes down to beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's a good choice to have for actual lookers/buyers of each car. Current sales indicate that they are both being snapped up at a good rate.

Lexus just stated the ES production is moving here so those stating the ES should be canceled clearly don't have supporters in Lexus. The car continues.

It appears Lexus has not cancelled the ES and I'm very sure it won't be cancelled. In 2014 Lexus sold 72,508 ES vehicles in the U.S. and I'd project Lexus sold 140,000 ES vehicles worldwide.
In China and other places around the world they get an ES 250 but very soon I'm sure it will be replaced with an ES 200t, too bad the U.S. won't get it.
In the U.S. we get the ES 300h and ES 350 both very nice cars within their respective class/level.
