Default The most reliable Lexus

I looked around the forum and couldn't find a thread about this so I thought I'd start one.

So what is the most RELIABLE Lexus ever made?
I was thinking it was the SC400 because it was one of the top 10 cars EVER made.
But I was ALSO thinking it could be the LX470.

Which one do YOU guys think it is, or has it been revealed?

Cheers CL

My old 2003 ES300 was rock solid. Never had a problem with it.

It's probably the LS. JD Power ranked it the most reliable car for 15 straight years. If you had to pick a particular version of the LS, it would likely be the 430, which consumer reports rates as the most reliable car ever tested, if I recall.

Either the LS or the original IS300. The IS300 had a few problems here and there, like the well-known transmission-ECU program, but otherwise was built like the Rock of Gibraltar. I had one for almost 5 years.

As far as the Lexus SUVs go, it's harder to pick one as most reliable, but the LX, IMO, would be a good arguement. It has the inherent toughness of the Toyota Land Cruiser, which is used all over the world in some of the toughest off-road conditions imaginable.

I can tell by your name that this isn't a biased comment

ES300/ES330 is the most 'rock solid' reliable car.

Has just the right amount of features, but they don't require additional mait. or repairs.

Just keep the oil changed.

I'm going to say the LS400, is the most reliable. Aside from some power steering issues, they are pretty much bulletproof. The drivetrain is incredible.

So every "Lexus" is reliable.
But it sounds like the LS is winning.
(My vote is the LX470. I have never owned one, but I read reviews are really good)

all lexus are reliable, but each has little things that are common, whether it's creaks/squeaks, fogging/breaking interior LCDs, clouding headlights, etc.

but an ls430 is about as bulletproof as it gets. earlier es300s have been amazing too, as are sc300/400.

So hard to pick just one... they are all so good!

BUT, I'd go with this:

Sure, the LS430's have their share of electronic issues like the mirrors and other things like air suspension, etc. but they are as solid as a tank.

I think it's really the car that defines Lexus the best overall.

had an LS400 and now a LS430. Both are built very tight and very little issues. only thing I miss about my 400 is how many miles I could have put on it. RIP@ 250k

It would probably be easier if we tried to name the least reliable Lexus.

With what it can be put through and keep on going, my vote would be the LX.... Or maybe that qualifies as most durable? ugh... LX or LS.... either one.
