The most reliable Lexus

I have seen many, many LS models with 250k+. My uncle has a 2003 LS430 that he uses to courier medical supplies around Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida, and at last check he had 620,000 miles on it. He is on his 10th set of tires, runs synthetic oil and has done all the services at Sewell Lexus in DFW, and other than a single wheel bearing replacement, he hasnt had a bit of problem.

I have a 1992 LS, with over 300k on it. I put about 50 miles per day on it. I am biased towards the LS, so my vote would be for any LS400 89-00. My favorite engine series made by Toyota/Lexus are definitely the UZ engines.

I'd say the LS400 and LS430 without the air suspension option are the best built and most reliable. The ES300 is a great car too, provided you keep the oil changed at regular intervals.
The 90's SC300/400 are rock solid as far as the drivetrain goes, but they aren't built as well as the 90's LS. I own one, you can tell, some of the plastic parts don't fit as tight, there is a couple random squeaks/rattles.
I looked at several 90's LS cars before I bought my SC with 60k miles on it. Drove LS cars with twice as many miles, they felt more solid, didn't squeak rattle, but then again they were boring and just didn't have the character like the SC cars.

2001-2005 IS300 are the most reliable Lexus...hand down. Only one campaign back in 2001 for the O2 sensor wire plastic cover under the car. The rest of the car is rock solid, not many major issue at all,but some CEL light for bank 2 sensor 2 O2 sensor or some catalyst convertor below threshold.
The LS430 2001-2006 come in second with only a few minor issues, probably the best LS of all.
All of the ES are good with common issue like oil leaks from valve cover gaskets at high miles and rear main seal leaks oil.

My dads 93 LS400 230k miles and still runs beautifully. Dealer maintained for the most part until the recent years, black leather interior holding up great with the exception of driver seat rips. Never had any issues with the car!!

My 99' GS300 has been pretty good to me since day one with 3 miles on it. As of now with almost 111k with reg maintenance I havent had not one mechanical problem, my og AC comp is on its way out as well as the valve cover gaskets but thats pretty much expected. And of course the driver and pass door locks are out.

What I have read in objective studies is that the LS430, SC430, and 1st gen IS are the best. I love the LS. Too bad the SC got named the worst car in the world by the jokers on TG.lol One of my staff had a white IS300 and it was bullet proof. Never ever ever gave her any issues and she didnt really maintain it like she should have. Still perfect

It's a little harder to tell since most of them haven't hit the 200k mark, lexus still ranked #1 last yr in the JD power survey though and with their track record I would expect the new lexus to be reliable as well, but so much new technology may cause more repairs, engine and tranny wise not a problem

No offence to everyone.
But it is a known fact that the generation between 2007-2012 is the low point for Lexus, the quality is lower then all previous generations. I think mostly due to cost cutting. Even at the Lexus's lowest quality, it is still higher then all the Euros competitors, but the gap is much smaller then before.
Lexus knew that and the latest 4GS and ES is high quality once again.
Every company and every person have ups and downs.
I just parked next to an original 1990 LS400 this morning and it still looks fantastic, I am sure it still drive fantastic also
