Honda is completely hopeless as a company. They have press release for ever stinkin' thing! A press release just for the name of a car you're going to release in the future? Please. Honda's marketing department are idiots. Along with their designers and chief of product planning.

I hate sounding so negative, but this company has failed time and time again to turn around their company despite numerous warning signs. Every automotive journalist, along with car enthusiasts on every car forum have been very vocal about what is wrong with Honda. Yet, they continue with the same BS.

Sorry Honda, you company has been boiled down to 3 mediocre cars: Accord, Civic and CR-V. The marketshare of these cars are going to get smaller and smaller as the American, Korean car companies continue their assault on fresh and exciting products.

The RLX isn't going to be change anything. It's going to be another attempt at being luxury, but Honda's mindset of playing it safe will not make a dent in the ever competitive luxury market.

i feel this is something that compete directly with the volvo s80 (do they even make those anymore?) Its the flagship of a brand that just aims for mediocrity. They once tried to compete with more expensive brands and failed.

I believe it's still offered. Baby S40 is discontinued and the S60 is only slightly larger than a IS/3 series so it's hard to use the the big fours template for vehicle status in the lineup. A luxury flagship concept for Volvo Bowes about a year ago, but their still bouncing back and forth over the idea of trying to bring it. Currently there's a lot of holes in their lineup so they need more vehicles to really make feasible a "true flagship" IMO

The same BS sells.

I can't agree there. The Odyssey, Pilot, and Fit all sell in good numbers too.

It even has what appears to be a small hybrid badge at the rocker! They've failed at success on their own and are now just peeking over Lexus' shoulder and copying the test answers.

is it bad to take some ideas from a good looking design? They haven't design many vehicles that look decent.

Yeah, it shows that Honda has no originality and has no ideas of its own.

Default First Official Picture of New Acura RLX Flagship Sedan Concept

Acura told us that the big reveal of its flagship sedan concept would take place at the New York International Auto Show at 1:50 PM (EST), but the first official image of the car we will come to know as the RLX has already hit the interwebs, courtesy of the VWvortex forum members.

We only have a single image in our hands right now, but from what we can tell, like many other recent Honda and Acura concepts such as the Detroit Show Accord Coupe, the RLX is virtually production ready.

The RLX, which will replace the aging RL in Acura's lineup, seems to borrow its design DNA from the smaller ILX sedan, albeit with the wheel arch kink flipped the other way around.

We remain short on specifications, but we do know that the RLX will employ Acura's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system. Honda has previously said that the system combines a 3.5-liter V6 to a pair of 20kW+ motors on both sides for the rear wheels, though we don't know yet it if will be used in this form on the RLX.

More to come, so stay tuned.

Can't believe Acura is dropping the real mechanical SH-AWD on most every model in the foreseeable future for this eSH-AWD crap SMH
