Default Which used AMG model would you buy?

So most people can't pony up the 100k for a new AMG Mercedes...So I got to looking at used examples E55, CL55, etc. which go for around 30k, maybe less (for 2004 ish models)

I would probably choose this:

Or This:

I was seriously considering a W211 E63 back in 08' but now you'll definitely find a E55 for under 30k

don't get the w215 cl, they are problems after problems. same with w220 s, a lot of problems (generally speaking)

the w211 is a strong car, relatively more solid

but in the end, without warranty it can get your heart pounding

AMG cars tend to be worth only 25% of their value after 5+ years. They depreciate as fast as they can accelerate.

Instead of going AMG, I'd recommend going with the W220 S600 or W215 CL600. They've got plenty of power too and the V12 sounds amazing on them. The SL600 is a great choice too.

If you want to stay with the AMG models, I'd recommend the W220 S-Class or the W215 CL.

Mike, isn't older E55 supercharged?

The new E63 is turbo charged, right?

I remember a lot of 6.2 AMG owner complained about lack of torque compare to the previous S/C E55.
