Quality wise they are all the same, is just the AMGs got more stuff to break and those stuff cost a lot of money, airmatics, ABC, turbos, blowers..........then AMGs are usually driven harder, so higher chances of failure.

Without knowing the facts, common sense tells me the AC compressor is electric as well in all cars with start/stop feature so the AC stay on when engine is off.

Many non-hybrid comes with electric AC compressor now a days.
what exactly would you have powering that A/C with engine off? Even most of mild hybrids have mechanical A/C (belt driven). For instance brand new 2013 Malibu Eco is mild hybrid and has belt driven A/C.

Only full hybrids have electric A/C. You need a lot of battery to power something like A/C.

In most cars today with start/stop feature, engine simply does not turn off if you have A/C on, in others it turns off but then A/C doesnt work anymore.

And thats why in EPA cycles, there is absolutely no again with start/stop and why most manufacturers strip it out of NA models. On the other hand, Euro cycle is different, doesnt require A/C use and you get large gains during city cycle, which is not applicable to real life.

I FINALLY saw a S550 with the new lights! I was so excited

My observation stand corrected, I spotted that new S550 20 miles from home

Yes that rule apply to everything. Obviously a Lexus LS600hL have A LOT more stuff on it to break then a Yaris. That's why basic simple old cars are so trouble free because they got nothing to break!

I was just telling a fact, I didn't say anything about avoiding them

To me, the more complicated, more highend, more expensive...........the better

In my ideal dream world, everyone should embrace exotic highend complicated super expensive cars with open arm, just know what you are getting into and don't complain about the repair bills In my dream world, only Bentley and Ferrari exist.

A few weeks ago in the LS430 forum, a guy was complaining how his 02' LS430 UL with the air suspension is way less reliable then his 1990 Accord. LMFAO..................I tell him he should ride a bicycle if he want a machine that last forever and never break.

Is funny how some people expect everything for free. Please god, can I have a private Boeing 787 dreamliner with the same operating cost as my LS430?

MBWorld is definitely gonna be your most active. The E55/E63 and C63 forums are by far the most active. But the AMG forums there are pretty active in general and should be able to answer your questions.

What are you laughing at? FYI I am not going to the dark side My friend is buying a W216 CL63 and I am researching mods for him, will get him on the spacers on sick OEM wheels bandwagon. There are quite a few threads in the CL / W216 section, looks like many folks mod the big coupe too.

This looks pretty hot to me:
