(modertor: img tags to giant images removed -- again -- folks, not everyone wants giant images displayed - they may be looking at the forum on a phone or slow connection - and note, links are from a russian website)

The Camry is considered a luxury car in many other parts of the world. Not surprised by the much more upscale look at all.

Probably for cost reasons, but I dont understand why they make two versions. Wouldnt it just be cheaper to make 1 version instead of two?

My main complaint is that the front simply looks way too much like the LS. Way to dilute your brand Lexus! The "Lexus is no more than a tarted-up Camry" camp is totally going to have a field day over this.

The non-US Camry looks like it could be the next ES. Looks great!

THIS is what the Camry should have been. Now I wonder why Toyota couldn't juice a little more HP from their engines to better compete with Honda - but then again what the AR/GR lacks in HP it makes up for in response.

It's a little edgy, let's see how well people receive to this.

This is why the Lexus brand only sells in the US. With a Camry like that, the ES is redundant. that's why they don't bring that version to the US.

Agreed.

But you know it's ironic...........because our Camry sold here is a luxury-biased one (that is different from the US version).

Yet Lexus Manila also sells the ES350 here.

The common reaction I had was: "As fantastic as the ES350 is, it's just a GLORIFIED ASIAN CAMRY!!!!!!!!!"

Yet it's ironic.

It's the third best selling car in the Lexus Manila lineup

Oh well. Life moves in mysterious ways

P.S.

This JDM/Rest of the World Camry imho looks better at least compared to what you guys have in Stateside.

Just what I think

it cant be more generic than that.

I was about to say the same thing.

This is not a good from a branding point of view. Lexus is supposed to differentiate themselves from Toyota in terms of styling in order to attain more credibility. This isn't helping, especially since the LS is also sold in the Russian market.

Interior looks nicely updated. The side profile looks interesting, with the rear 1/3 of the car having interesting lines to me just beyond the rear door. I kinda like that.

Don't like the lower front valence foglight area. Foglights not well-integrated, they stand out too much...even when they just fill the area with plastic on the base model. Still too noticeable.

And that rear-end looks hideously unfinished where the lights are. Can't believe those tallights even left the design studio. For me, those rear lights make the car un-purchase-able.

Interesting how Lexus-like the JDM Camry looks above though.
