Default Extended Warranty for my LS460? Help!

I just picked up a 2007 LS460 with 59,000 miles on it and I am entertaining the idea of adding a warranty through a third party vendor.

I have heard good things about EasyCare and NAC (national auto care) as long as you buy their top package.

Right now i am looking.leaning towards the Pinnacle plan from NAC. its costs 3k and its for 50k miles or 4 years. its also an "exclusions" list... and not a "whats included" list.

[B]
Here are some statements i will make first:[/B
]I want to be able to take it to the Lexus dealership
I want to be able to finance it (pay 1000 1st, and the balance over a year's time).
I do not want to pay for the fix up frotn and be reimbursed.
I want something that is VERY comprehensive.
I would like to not spend more than 100.00 for a deductible.
I want to be able to lower the car and put wheels on it without voiding... (long shot)

My questions:
Are there better plans out there for 3k?
Are there plans out there that are good for 2k?
What is all this talk about "find a warranty that covers emissions"
What are other good companies to look into that are very comprehensive?

Final question....Should i buy a warranty?

My 2 cents is if you can afford a repair without it causing a issue in your life then don't buy the warranty. Odds are in your favor to come out ahead and if you do have to make a major repair if you subtract the cost of the warranty from the repair it becomes more relative. Also my experience in talking to other owners who have bought an extended warranty they often have issues getting the warranty to cover the work. It becomes a fight to prove that the warranty should pay for the repairs.

I'd only purchase an Lexus/Toyota warranty or other auto manufacturers warranty.
I'd stay away from the Mickey Mouse warranties.

x2 on this.

"outside" warranties always have restrictions or some sort of catch that justifies why they are cheaper then the Lexus/Toyota warranty. And even if they do cover everything, the paper work required to get paid takes a while. I've heard of warranties where the work was done, and the warranty company agreed to pay the shop directly but the car couldn't be released for a week because of the slow payment from the warranty company. And if you got a loaner car, they probably aren't gonna let you keep it till they get paid, they want it back within 24 hrs of the work being done.

and then you can have a warranty from the biggest outside warranty company like Warranty Gold and they went bankrupt.

There's a guy roy Dietrich of Toyota of Greenfield in MA that sells Toyota/Lexus warranties for $100 or $150 over delears cost.
I've bought from him and he's well known. However, you could have but with 59K you're over the basic warranty. You have to buy one before the 4/50 expires.

Do a Search for Extended Warranty on the LS and ES forums and you will get some good information on buying a Lexus Platinum extended warranty. There is a dealership that many members have used and the prices are pretty good.
