Quote: I feel like the interior on my new Grand Cherokee is stunning. Many people have echoed the comments when they first ride in my car. It's much nicer than the 4Runner I was considering.

Materials felt much nicer than the Explorer
If you got the Overland, I might buy "stunning". I owned a 2011 GC Laredo X with the leather interior and it's "stunning" compared to the last GC, but compared to a luxury car (MB, BMW, Lexus)....snope.

Mine was a T-U-R-D and I chit canned it with 3K miles. HORRIBLE. I wish you all the best of luck as it is a nice looking ride.

That would be a Porsche Boxster maybe? (largest gauge on dash is tach)

I remember your 2011 Grand Cherokee thread. I've had mine exactly a month now, 2K miles, zero issues.

I do have an Overland, with the leather stitched dash, etc.

Quote: Agree about the new Explorer...was underwhelmed when I sat in it. The seating position also made it feel like I was sitting in the middle of the car, not the drivers side
Me too. I saw it at the Atlanta auto show and was also disappointed in the interior.

Quote: American cars have the worst interiors of all cars...besides the expensive autos you mentioned look at the interior of a Corvette or even Viper = **** for price...
I agree. All of the cool American cars have terrible interiors.

They are getting better though. A lot of American car's interiors look better than they did ten years ago.

This is more the case, though, with GM and Chrysler than with Ford. Ford has significantly improved the reliability and build-quality of its cars in recent years, but they need to work on interior trim....a few Ford interiors, like high-level F-150s, are impressive, but many still need improvement.
