Although I liked that bright-blue color in the video, I wonder why they displayed the new XKR with that color instead of the classic British Racing Green?
I had a chance to review and test-drive a 2011 XKR convertible, last December, for the CL Annual Holiday Review I do each year on a nice upmarket/luxury vehicle. Driving an XKR, in simple words, can only be described as like dating a Supermodel.

Thanks, forthat input. I have read several times it's an incredible driving car so it's cool to hear someone you know of agree.
As for the 2012 refresh, I'm not digging the front facia but do like the headlight change. I'm sure it'll grow on me.
Here's another vid, the car looks better here:

The new front end, though not identical, doesn't really look that much different from the 2011. I noticed that they put some slots in the body-work, forward of the front wheels.....my guess is to help cool the brakes.
This car is so exquisitely-styled that the Jag designers, even with the new ownership from Tata motors, probably don't dare do too much on the 2012 to disrupt it.
You can configure this car on jaguar.com... I don't remember British Racing Green even being an option strangely enough
The headlights make this car look so much better. The facelifted XK forthcoming should be nice, sans the extra scoops that make this car look a little over the top
That's not the 'new 2012 XKR', that's just the XKR-S model. The 'regular' XKR is more subtle. Not sure how good it will look, but that's just videos of the S model.

Dude, do a google search. Do a youtube search. This is the new model. Those headlights are way different from the current model. I've been to the dealership a couple times. The 2011 model has the same headlights as the 07-10 models. Unless there are several internet sites with the wrong information, this is the 2012 model.

Nope, this is the XKR-S. The new XKR will have the same headlights but none of the extra scoops. As seen here:
The XKR-S will be available as a 2012 MY. The 175 was a 2011 and is no longer available up here, although I do know Newport Jag has a couple of them left.
Talk to an actual dealer, like I did 2 weeks ago, before spouting off about things you don't know about.

I'm sorry but when the hell did I ever say this was a 2011 MY? Ice350 incorrectly stated that this car is the new 2012 XKR. I stated that this car is actually the XKR-S. No one except Ice350 ever talked about a 2011 XKR or XKR-S. Maybe learn how to read before you start saying condescending things.

Yeah, I was saying this model in the videos is the S- not the new XKR. The headlights will be the same, but the front bumper is not going to look like that.

Let me try to be more clear.
The vids posted are of the 2012 XKR-S.
The car has the same updated headlight design that will be featured on all 2012 XK's. Someone else stated that this was the 2011 S. Not me. See post #9.
Jag did create 2011 XKR 175 and the XKR 75 that did not make it to the states. The 2011 175 is an XKR with the Speed Pack added. The 2011 75 is an XKR with the Speed Pack and Black Pack added.
