Ford Explorer & Range Rover Evoque - Separated at Birth?
We have all mentioned that Ford seemed to study Range Rover quite closely when designing the new Explorer, but I saw these photos this morning and was sort of shocked!
The Evoque could easily pass off as the new Explorer Sport (2 door)
There is actually huge difference between the two:
One will be overpriced and useless p.o.s. and other one will be a lot of car for the money.
BTW they all share same plastic inside.
Not really. I agree that RRs are overpriced and unreliable, but, in general, you cannot compare their interiors with Ford SUVs. RR is also a master at combining plushness/comfort with superb off-road ability.
I agree with the OP. I see some design ques taken from the range thats employed onto the Ford. Not that its a direct copy but subtle little things like the shape of the headlight sides in this photo along with the wraparound effect of the windsheild to the rear window spoiler(RX-ish). I also see the RR clamshell hood on this Ford. I see your point!
They do look alike. But that is one of the worst pictures of the new Explorer I've seen. Those wannabe S4 wheels and tires are far too small for the body.
