I thought California stopped offering those incentives?

they did and the ones that have them will no longer be able to use them soon.

I also hate it when people cheat like that. There was no traffic yesterday and this guy kept weaving in to the carpool lane and back out when ever there was slow traffic blocking on way on the other lanes.

I see that all the time from my daily commute. It's worse when they decide it's a good idea to get in/out of the carpool lane by crossing the double yellow line.

I usually let these things go but I swear one day I will just jot down license plate number to report them. It sucks for me because I drive in the carpool lane (legally ) and it's usually backed up due to so many cheaters out there.

I have to admit I've been tempted a few times when I'm running late.

I hate getting stuck behind a car going 60 in the left lane, multiple occupants and a wide open carpool lane but they sit there and hold up us single drivers. I have used the carpool lane to get by these people.

That does annoy me big time. What annoys me more is dipholes in Cali (or anywhere else) that don't abide by the hands-free law. People in California drive while on the phone and don't give a damn. Just pisses me off!

The Governator is probably going to extend the carpool lane thing for single drivers with that sticker thing.

Yup...total disregard. What amuses me most are those who use the merge openings to pass then get back into the main flow. All that to get or two cars ahead...

The times I'm on the 5 S carpool just past the Chapman exit to the 57 interchange...I see a CHP motorcycle unit fairly regularly.

Just touching on cell phone use..."hands free" must be very difficult for many people to understand.

It used to bother me but not anymore. I just figure that one day I'm going to see someone get nailed. And it's not going to be MY money paying that ticket.

Sure, it's not fair that I have to wait while the other single driver zooms by. But I am doing better with my time management now so I'm not under pressure or stressed to even THINK about doing it.

Since July 2009, the California fine has been changed to $1100.
