has any 1 else been called in to pay a difference in the trade, after everything has already been signed?they said the bank called?

It can happen. When you bought your car were they able to call and get the payoff on your trade or did they have to use an estimate?

 

It has happened before. A friend of mine had to deal with this issue. Are they saying "your bank" called about the trade or their bank will not finance with that amount of equity from the trade?

 

the dealer is supposed to call the bank and get an exact payoff good thru such and such date....if they don't....well...they're guestimating.

Odd a dealer would a do deal with papers signed not having the correct numbers.

Well, they estimated and told me there bank said the payoff wasn't correct, and then they gave me a due date til January 2011, are they supposed to give me a due date, due to there mistake?

 

Each state is different. I know up north several of my friends have told me that if they do a car deal they have to schedule a time to come back to pick up so the dealer has time to verify everything. In NC we do spot deliveries which means if you have the credit you can take the car that day.
