2011 Nissan Rogue shows up at 2010 Z Car Convention
Don't recall any posts on the Nissan Rogue (2011) so...
08-10'
We managed to make our way to the 23rd annual Z Car Convention at the Nissan North America headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee this weekend. Aside from a slew of Zed-related goodness of unmatched acclaim, the 2011 Nissan Rogue was also rolled out as part of the celebration. Overall, the little crossover sticks close to last year's recipe, though some subtle visual updates help the ute better stand out from the rest of the mall parking lot crowd.
The tweaked front fascia now has a more angular look aimed at giving the nose of the Rogue some definition. Likewise, the grille has been massaged to incorporate a larger Nissan badge, and the optional fog lights now reside in sculpted inserts. A chrome strip spans the 2011 Rogue's flanks, and a similar piece of brightwork now glams up the rear liftgate. Lastly, buyers who opt for the 2011 Nissan Rogue Krom or Rogue SL will get new 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, too. Otherwise, it's much of the same from Nissan's compact people hauler.

Is this close enough? I recently did a full-review on the 2010......which is pretty much the same vehicle as the 2011, except for some minor trim/equipment changes.

I don't know about ugly, but I agree it looks cheap. It also gives it a bit of the Alfa-Romeo look, similiar to some Subaru models a few years ago.

My experience, car-shopping with people, has been that many of those shopping for this class of vehicle are not primarily concerned with looks anyway. They want a useful, economical, reliable, all-weather vehicle that can carry a reasonable amount. And if the brother Nissan Juke ever sells (the Juke, IMO, by comparison, actually makes the Rogue look handsome), it will probably be for the same reason...though the Juke is smaller and not as roomy.

IMO, the Honda CRV is the significantly better competing vehicle (including attributes like styling, refinement, reliability, all-weather capability and roominess) and it enjoys much stronger sales as a result.
