From my experience, its all dependent on the badge. However, its not at all exclusive to females, but to most casual people in general. Identify the car by its name and you get a questionable look; state the make, and they attach a percieved value.
That said, Porsche usually leads the next three luxury brands (in any order), leaving 'the nissan' last.
1. 911 - Just because its a Porsche and they all know what that is
2. C63 - Its a Mercedes and although its a C class, it noticeably looks different
3. M3 - Most girls know what an M3 is (well all the ones I know) plus its a bimmer
Based on my experience, women go for status and security, not speed. (There is a bell curve so there are no absolutes.) My Phantom gets a lot more smiles from women than my LP670 SV by about 10/1. Why? A car like a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche represents risk, guys living and driving on the edge. Yet the Phantom represents community status, security, etc. I wouldn't have believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. I also have an H2, and that only seems to attract more small town women where it's actually rare. The LS460L is so-so, but it proves itself on a date as it is a very comfortable ride. I get a lot more women taking pictures of the SV, but those pictures are usually for their boyfriend. The Phantom not so much because women see that as something for them. One of my extremely cute assistants gets the "that *****!" look every time she drives the Phantom and that's always amusing. Never happens if she drives the SV or the others. Her favorite- the H2 hands down.
