Looks like he lost the rear going around the curve, didn't correct fast enough, and oversteered into the barrier.
The Diablo is still my favorite car in terms of looks, although I'm not as fond of the roadster as the hardtops.
I think he actually was turned left (from the right of the picture), power slided, freaked out, counter steered, let go of gas, front grabbed traction, and went that way.... Just guessing from the tire mark.
I used to have to drive my wife's Porsche with one shoe. The pedals were too close together for my wide feet and I'd mash the gas and brake at same time occasionally (dangerous situation).
I wonder if that's what happened to him here; those cars are a handful regardless and just a little too much gas could have flipped him at the wrong way/wrong time.
