Agreed, for most buyers, and I suspect even for an LS aficionado like myself, one needs to make a double-take to differentiate the models.

Hardly a refreshed design, all they did was a new grill and some options. Lexus need to do more with the LS, the design is getting old and boring. Hyundai have already copy it over 3 times Seriously, one can never tell the LS is a $70000 saden when they see it on the road. Kind of like seeing a RL on the road and mistake it for a Accord.

Wow looking at this car makes me think 100% Camery/Avalon. Super boring. Pale and stale inside and out. Theres absolutely nothing about this car that draws me to it, I mean nothing.

Isn't that what a "refresh" usually is...

While I agree that they need to do more with the car (wheel options, colors, aero) I find it rather laughable to say that the car has no road presence, or is equal to that of an Accord. Yeah, maybe the silver and white ones blend into traffic unobtrusively, but take one of the darker colors, the Touring package, or a 600hL and that car has as much road presence as any top-level executive sedan.

The LS has always been sleek, conservative, and handsome and I doubt that Lexus will ever deviate from that formula. The thing they can do is add a sport package (which we're getting) to appeal to people who want a bit more pizzaz, customization options (which is in the works), and more rim options and designs (still need).

I don't know about you guys but the only S class or 7 series that catches my eye is one with the AMG aero or sport package. Otherwise they look just as dull and uninspiring as the LS can.

To me, a refresh should be a bit more than just a new grill and new options. Lets take a look at the refresh for the 07 to 08 GS350. new side mirrors with signal lights, new front air dam, new fog lights, new rear bumper, new grill, new control buttons on the steering wheel, new markings on instrument gauges, new shift plate, new seat trim piece, new rims and new options and colors. Now thats a refresh to me.

Ok, I see it now, but the bumper looks the same. The interior gauge center display change too. BTW, that Hybrid grill looks terrible on the LS.

Not all refreshes are a super big deal. When you're dealing with a flagship saloon there are only so many ways to make it better.

I think it looks fine.

LOL!

Agreed. Why can't Lexus use a cool mesh or something.

It looks like this MMC facelift has its ups and downs. Anyways, we'll see more once the actual car comes out.

Anyways, one plus point though is:
According to this pic, all versions of the LS (as part of the MMC facelift) will feature increased boot/trunk capacity over the original models.
