Best sleeper cars

Come on IS350jet, the stock 2009 Corvette does 0-60 in 4 seconds. To blow a Corvette away, you would have to be at least one second faster. How many sub 3 sec cars are there in the world?

i tried to see if anyone mentioned it and i couldnt find it so here's my contribution:
mercedes benz r63
i know, it has AMG badges but not many people knew this car existed. and its a freakin' mini van. but an AWD mini van with 6.2 liter v8 that puts out 500hp and 465 ft/lbs.
if thats not a sleeper in stock form/ q-car, then i don't know what is.
And the Chevy Cyclone, same as the GMC Typhoon, but instead of the Jimmy body, they packed it into an S10 platform.
back to the sleeper argument, i agree a sleeper is a HIGHLY modified car that looks stock. mild example,s a de-winged evo or a debadged mustang gt/ camaro z28/ss and an extreme example, EG civic hatch with motor swap and turbo

There is no answer to the question of 'best' car. It should be a question of what is the best 'equipment' to make a car a sleeper.
If I'm in my GS at the track and a guy in a Corolla wants to race me, the first thing I'm going to tell him to do is raise the hood. If you take on a race with a car that you know you're supposed to beat (on paper) handily and you don't inspect the car, then the car isn't a sleeper, you're just a moron...lol
Same thing if you take on a car that you know nothing about.
Now what's the best equipment to make a car a sleeper? NOS and STS rear mounted turbos come to mind.

Galant VR-4
Spirit R/T
Dodge Omni GLH and GLHS
Best sleeper around I own at the moment, swapped 94 GS300. Down here, people see the four doors and assume family car. What is absolutely priceless is pulling on a C6, cocky Mustang owners, etc and seeing the look on their faces. That IS sleeper.

Sleeper = Unsuspecting throughout.
So many AMG Benzs' especially the 4 doors should be out of this category also since they are NOT unsuspecting. Same with the BMW "M"s and Audi's "S" and "RS" trims.
Whoever mentioned the Galant VR4 is on the right track. Eventhough it's a VR4 trim as opposed to the base trim there are really no cues (or very subtle) that shows this car is a high performing car.
I feel the "key" is a car that is NOT known at all for being quick but only people in contact with said cars know their power.

The point is, if I looked at it beside me at a red light, I'd know it had 469 HP, therefore, no sleeper. Now, if I were driving a Camry at the time, and I blew his doors off, *that* would be a sleeper.
Understand, sleepers aren't stock. A car doesn't become a sleeper until it's significantly faster that it's supposed to be, no matter what kind of car it is, from Yugos to Veyrons. There are sleepers, and then there are cars that surprise a lot of people. Sure, a RAV4 V6 will surprise a lot of people, but it won't become a sleeper until it starts blowing off corvettes.

MBZ R63 is unbeatable IMO
