Does this wagon looks like it has a whopping 469hp!?

Supercharged AMG E55 wagon=straight sleeper

I am obsessed with wagons! I think the majority of wagons are sleepers.....

2006 330xi, last year of the 330, right before the 335. People know the 330 to be only 200-220hp range, but the 2006 model are 255 hp and it kept up with my GS400 from 40mph all the way to 120mph, it's still carrying a 4wd for god sakes, it can run those speed in any weather.

I don't think any of the Mercedes or BMWs can be considered sleepers. Regardless of if they're wagons or old or whatever, people don't expect MBs and BMWs to be any slow.

My vote goes to the 07+ RAV4 V6. My girlfriend just bought a 09 RAV4 V6 AWD Sport back in May, and it's really quick. And as opposed to a V6 Camry, the RAV4 is in a humble SUV shell, so people would expect it to be slow.

Also on my list are the old turbo Volvos and the Subie Forester Turbos.

True, but they also dont expect wagons and minivans to be as fast or faster than Ferrari's and Lambo's. Its a different kind of sleeper status.

Babies in the back seat, hatch full of groceries and your neck and neck with an F430. LOL

But^^^^ answer my question above....Does that Mercedes wagon looks like it can handle 469hp? In my book.....it's a sleeper!

The turbo Forester has a hood scoop....and what does that imply.....fast, so I don't think it's a sleeper. Then again, the AMG wagon has like a quad dual exhaust......lol

The point is, if I looked at it beside me at a red light, I'd know it had 469 HP, therefore, no sleeper. Now, if I were driving a Camry at the time, and I blew his doors off, *that* would be a sleeper.
Understand, sleepers aren't stock. A car doesn't become a sleeper until it's significantly faster that it's supposed to be, no matter what kind of car it is, from Yugos to Veyrons. There are sleepers, and then there are cars that surprise a lot of people. Sure, a RAV4 V6 will surprise a lot of people, but it won't become a sleeper until it starts blowing off corvettes.

Yes, but a lot of people know what a Typhoon is capable of, therefore, not a sleeper.

Only car enthusiast know what the Typhoon is capable of. To most, its just another old boxy SUV thing.

If a Typhoon is not a sleeper then no car is either. There will always be a group of people out there that know certain things about certain cars.

I agree with you 100% about this comment. The fact remains, however, that the Typhoon is a car that *can* be recognized as doing some damage. To make my point, say, the guy in the Typhoon pulled up to a light next to a 1981 Corolla, the light turns green and the Corolla just blows the guys doors off. Which car is the sleeper? As I said earlier, sleepers are cars that are *significantly* faster than they're supposed to be. If the Typhoon had 300HP over stock and was dusting Z06's, then I would agree, it would be a sleeper. In stock form, it's not. Definition of a sleeper:
Cars that look completely stock, but aren't. it's simple.

Where you around when the Typhoon was roaming the streets? The car looks like a standard GMC Jimmy minus the Typhoon badging.
