One of the local Toyota shops in my area (a very large and well-equipped one) not only does routine service on Lexus vehicles (for about half the price of a Lexus shop) but was trying to get certification to do Lexus warranty work as well. I haven't heard yet how that turned out.Originally Posted by flipside909
True, but don't expect the Toyota dealer to service your car when you have warranty issues.

Is that just another excuse, all those loaners are insured by either the customer's insurance or the optional insurance the dealer offer, and teh customer is responsible for all deductibles.Originally Posted by recha12d
When I brought in my 2nd gen GS into Lexus of Chandler in AZ, I got a 09 Corolla. I was told they stopped giving out Lexus loaners earlier this year because of how people treated them. One of the customers totaled the Lexus loaner in the past.

I'm not sure about the details. But they didn't ask for my insurance when they handed over the keys to the loaner.Originally Posted by The G Man

When I got a loaner a couple of weeks ago they asked for my insurance card and entered the policy number into the loaner agreement.

I just dropped my 2007 IS350 off at Scottsdale Lexus this past week.
I was given a 2009 Corolla with 800 miles on it. Not only was I given a Corolla, they also charge $10 for the loaner, unless you are in for Campaign work which I was in for.
Scottsdale Lexus is literally 5 minutes from my house, but I think my next service will be out at Superstition Lexus. My service rep wasn't the most pleasant either.

Pretty soon the Penske-owned Lexus dealerships will be using Saturns as loaners

That is what competition is for. Very sorry to hear about the experience.Originally Posted by uconn99
