Its pretty much common knowledge that Range Rovers are not that reliable. However through marketing and history, they still remain one of the most sought after brands around.

I think what he did is hilarious. Not only the dealership, but corporate should be stepping up to the plate and making this right.

It sucks, but the dealership had addressed all the issues under warranty.

Yes, it's a lot of trouble to deal with. But the owner could have used Lemon Law protection (is that available in England?) to get all of his money back, which would have been great because his car has depreciated so much...

Ive read a few times of people experiencing failing suspensions on that particular model. Some of the links busted and the wheel turned 45 degrees into the bumper.

The Lemon Law doesn't exist in Canada either, so I'd be very shocked if they had it in England.

Apparently you guys have better lawyers.

RR is owned by Ford.

Ford makes the worst cars ever, especially when it's not the FORD brand itself.

Once RR left BMW, it went down the toilet.

Land Rover is not owned by ford is owned by Tata, you make it sound like BMW is reliable. What is bad from ford? The fusion that gets 41mpg. The ford Tauraus and its 350hp tt V6. The fact is ford is the last true american car company and has not accepted any bail out money?

It used to be owned by Ford. I'm saying that BMW is more reliable then Ford (back then). We also were talking about reliability, not about how many mpg a car can get, or how nice sounding an engine is...

I also said that they don't put much care into their other companies that they own (jaguar is one for example) compared to the care they put into their own company.

^^^ Which RR was it? B/c RR was owned by BMW at some point. They made the current Range Rover. In Top Gear mag in April, one of the editors say its the best riding BMW b/c its not honed at the "Ring"
