DAWG choice... the Z06 wins!! BIG thanks to many here on CL!!!
Well all, after nearly EIGHT months, MANY drives, research, at least 50 changes of the mind (and one cancelled S5 order )... FINALLY...<drums>....the winner:
2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Cyber Grey 2LZ w/ chrome spider wheels
Test drove the Z after the IS-F this morning... really wasn't close, but obviously not apples to apples. One of my concerns with the Z here in WI: rough roads. Ate 'em up with nary an issue. Freeway: averaged 26 mpg at 74 mph... at 505 HP!!!! And handling... fuhgetaboutit!!!! Lastly, there IS a "winter" wheel and tire set-up, NOT for ice/snow though... I'm not crazy!!
HUGE thanks to MMarshall, Mbenz5281, Passnu2, CDNRockies amoung many others... the help on here has been instrumental in this search. I could probably sell for about 20 different automakers right now with all I've learned on assorted models. I will post pics once I purchase (awaiting a pending project confirm, another reason I changed so many time- constant DELAYS!!) and get her home.
Last thing: with the input, feedback, and mostly unbiased opinions... this PROVES CL is THE BEST FORUM on the Web... no one's close!!!
Thanks again all, now I can FINALLY relax!!!

Reliability has come WAY up... I play basketball w/ a GM mechanic and he rarely sees them for anything other than tires, rotations... and he has no idea I've been looking... guys who beat the s--t out of them seem to be the only ones running into issues... crossed my fingers!!!
