Default Benz Forum for Wiper Issue

Not sure if unkosher to ask here, but my friend has a problem with his passenger side replacement RainX latitude wiper on a Benz S430, the 28 is supposed to fit nicely, and does on the driver side, but the passenger side is touching the right side of the car (A pillar?).

Can he go down to a 26 inch?
What is a sister and best Benz forum, like our CL club?
Anyone have similar issue with Lexus, and do you downsize?

Well the 28's touch and I actually installed them upside down so they don't touch touch the A pillar, and they barely swipe the windshield. So 26 can only be better at this point.

Usually driver and passenger side have different length wipers, did you check that first?

I would suspect the 26 should be fine, but like others have said you may end up with an unwiped bit up at the top.

Should be fine with the 26" blade. The wipers normally swipe a much larger area than needed to view, so having a 1/2"- 1" less wipe at the very top will probably be barely noticeable. Also, are you sure it calls for 28" on both sides? Like what was already mentioned, many cars require different lengths for driver and passenger. Usually the passenger side has a slightly shorter blade.

Default 28 26

So now we have the Rain X with P and H adapter 28 driver and 26 passenger, but the latest issue is that they are installed upside down, because right side up, the arm puts too much pressure on the center and creates a bubble, oddly, upside down works. Secondlt, OEM seems to be 27 / 27 from Bosch. I hate Benz, love my Lex.
