The only truth here is that GT2 is just a bit faster than GT-R and costs almost four times more

Quote from the article ,
It could be argued that the conditions suited the Nissan better, but still the Porsche was faster. It also stopped better and showed no sign of brake fade, where as the Nissan's pedal was becoming very long at the end of the lap. The Nissan was an incredibly impressive for a 1740kg road car ,but it never felt as fast as the GT2.
Good read, thanks posting.

Almost, and Four times as much hey...

lol awesome.

if I had the money, I'd choose the GT2.

but if money was the issue, I'd be stuck between a Turbo and the GT-R.

as it stands now?

I can afford die cast models of both

GT2 for me too if $$$ no issue.

I haven't seen a die cast model of the GT-R yet at our local stores , I'm not sure I'd get one though sinceb I'm not a fan of it's design ... depending on the workmanship & the colors available I guess ...

The Nissan puts in a good game so folks at a different price point can play now. For me as well, the Porsche as a performance status car is unquestionable. I doubt I'd desire a GT-2 for daily driving where the GT-R would have no quibbles. $$ no object, I'd take the GT-R in my current mind frame, then use the extra $$ other ways.

If I couldnt afford the GT2 but afford the GTR, I'd either get a Supra (and mod the hell out of it) or a ZR-1.

Finally....

As pointed out in the thread about the ring, there are just so many factors that apply to a lap time, that a given lap time there means almost nothing. The fact here (at least in this test) is that the GT2 is a faster car than the GT-R and yes, it should be due to its price.
