Well VW usually has some Euro-spec cars in North America. The Tiguan has been spotted in TDI trim, yet VW has said they are not going to offer that engine option due to pricing reasons.
As far as the Scirocco, it's the epidemy of the latest generation of tastefull, sporty, agressive, and elegant German design execution. Japan could really learn something from cars like this. Impeccable build quality levels, equally impressive driving performance. Honda gets a lot of praise for their high build quality levels, but truthfully, my 04 Accord has many cheap elements, from the chintz headliner to the weather moldings that are already cracking away to the cheap as sin metal hood prop (hydralics Honda, hydraulics) to the unlined trunk. It's obvious Honda cuts corners, as does Toyota (new camry interior quality is a large downgrade) but then again, they are priced lower than a comparable vw, but as far as I'm concerened you get what you pay for. This one's a 1.8T, definitely not going to be sold here.
If anyone in Wolfsburg is listening - Send it over VW, send it over. Or at least send over the new Phaeton.

This car looks so long. The last picture (rear 3/4 view) makes the thing look so disproportionate. Not sure I like the tails. The whole design reminds me of a frog.
