I've got to admit that the interior does not look too bad, but the exterior is fugly. The rear looks bad and WTF IS UP WITH THOSE HEADLIGHTS !!

Looks great IMO...I am just not sure about the front end. The headlights seem unnecessarily dramatic and the whole shape of the front doesn't really seem to fit with Nissan's design theme.

Still need to see more shots, but it looks better than the last 2 iterations. Interior looks just like an Infiniti. Wonder if it will get the 3.7

The rear looks good but the headlights and grille make this car ugly. I'm glad they've decided to pull away from making their cars look like refreshes rather than full model makeovers.
This might mean the renditions of the 370Z with those funky headlights might be close to spot on. Which I think kinda sucks because this head light design is ugly. It's different but it's ugly.

Wish the Maxima will return to the same dimensions as the 89-94's. Heck, make it the same size as the current Altima. Remember the 87 Maxima and Stanza..?

Rear isn't that great, but overall, the nicest Maxima I can remember

I like it. Headlights may be a little overdone, but it could be one of those things that look good in 3-D.

It's a bit nasty looking, but I might get used to it...

Very Infiniti-esque interior.

The exterior has quirky designs, but I think that's a positive. Nissan decided to think outside the box, unlike other cars that look like the previous generation (like how the new G sedan and coupe are too similar to the older versions...).

I think it's very imposing, especially from the front. The most important thing they've done here is clearly distinguish the Maxima from the Altima in this generation. It's strong and distinctive. The interior is very nice too. I think they did a great job.

I'm not digging any of the lights. They do something weird to the body lines.

It looks different and distinctive I admit but that doesn't mean it looks good. The front resembles the G35 sedan, and the interior is a big dissapointment IMHO. The interior, like several other Nissan/Infiniti interiors of late, has the same "cookie cutter" center stack.

I'm not a fan of that big front overhang, and it looks like the frumpy rear end of the last generation has not been changed. There are some strange character lines on the car. From the side, the character line makes it look like the doors have been dented.

Overall, I'm not a fan. This looks only slightly better than the 2008 model, and certainly this is not the best-looking Maxima.

I think the car would look much better if the wheels were pushed more towards the corners, and if the car did not have such long overhangs. The square nose and the front bumper design also doesn't help. The front bumper makes the car appear even longer than it really is.

I will give Nissan credit for differentiating the Maxima from the Altima.
