M-benz Cls55 Amg Vs. Bmw M5??

Hey Guys
I currently have a GS 350 AWD and I am thinking about getting either a Benz CLS55 AMG or the BMW M5 they are both 2006, can you guys give me any suggestions about which car you guys think is better? I test drove the CLS a few days ago, and the only word that I can put on this car is amazing, the engine is really a piece of work and the acceleration is absolutely amazing, but some how it feels kind of scary because that car is so powerful. I have not yet get to try to drive a M5 yet but hopefully I would have the chance soon. For now please just give me some input thanks.

Haven't been in the new M5 yet. But a couple owners I talked to said the SMG is not very smooth at all for daily driving.

The CLS rear seat leans heavily towards the unusable side. How important is the rear-seat room to you?

But if you get either... PLEASE oh PLEASE get an extended warranty when the factory one runs out.

the new tranny that the BMW just got, apparently, is very very good and should be put into the M5 soon

i've never had problems with mine. the CLS55 is a great car. Back seat is only good for 2 people and rear seat room is average.

IMO, no "better" car, just one might fit your needs better. CLS 55 is an off the line monster, beautiful (IMO) to look at, quite a statement vehicle. Interior is done well but it is small due to style.

M5 is more involving, more tech, more complicated beast. Not a fan of the looks, the interior is much more spacious and the interior is hit or miss according to your tastes. V-10 in a sedan makes me tingle.

Tough decision!
