This short article claims it will be available with engines ranging from 177- to 423-horsepower. So I gather that means an IS220d, IS250, IS350 (US perhaps) and IS-F Convertible. The car should be ready by about 2009.
For some reason the body reminds me of a 335i Convertible. Tailights look awkward, but great car nonetheless. Can't wait to see what it will look like in its production phase.
Yes, that would be a 2010 model year car, & the FIFTH model year of the 2IS sedan by then, which should be close to a redesign, so how would the model cycles of the sedan & coupe overlap each other ? Would the IS convertible be a 3IS & not a 2IS ?

that's what i am thinking too, sedan out for 4 yrs before coupe/convertible. so it will come out for 2 yrs and then redesign?

IS gets refreshed later this year for 2009...and gets some new "models".

If this IS convertible is still a 2IS, & assuming that the 2IS sedan will have a 6-year model cycle, then the convertible version can still last 3 years if they want to be 3-series like with their sedan/convertible, with a new-generation convertible coming out about a year later than the new generation sedan . . . still, 3 years would be a short cycle for a 2IS convertible . . .
