Barrett Jackson This weekend
Its already live on Speed Vision.
While I like seeing the cars that come across the block, it also makes me SICK to see how people can get so carried away and inflate the prices of these cars.
Ex. Last year an original LS6 Chevelle went for 1.2M (or somewhere there abouts).
Result: Every bubba across the country that has a rusted out shell of a '70 Chevelle just raised their price from $500 to $15,000.
I just watched a '71 Z/28 with a 350 go for $100,000........
Are you F'ing kidding me??????? Granted it had 19,000 miles.....but crap. $45,000 sounds high for that car.

**Wanted to add.......My friends boss is there right now waiting for a particular car on Satuday night. The #1 stamped Charger.!!! He owns a Dodge dealership and plans on spending around 2M.........

Don't you mean the #1 stamped challenger? I have a funny feeling it'll go for a bit more than 2 million.
Also, from what I remember, the bidding war isn't the final price on the car. Whoever wins the bid can also talk to the owner of the car and discuss a different price.

We got a few calls tonight in regards to a couple cars to buy, but nothing seemed to be that interesting. For those who care the prices have gone down in comparison to other years. I think people realized how ridiculous they were in the past.
We thought the exact same thing.
Cars that (last year) brought 200k were trying to bring 80k.
Thats what I like to see.!!
**aside from the Golden '71 350 Z/28.

We've had the opportunity for a few of the Superbirds that have been showcased, however it's just a bit ridiculous. Unless you are truly eager for a numbers matching low mileage car you're better off just getting a clone or building your own clone.
That shows how bad our economy is in. If you watched the first few days, the "lower end" less expensive cars were not getting nearly as much money as last year.
