Default Nissan Intima-Tokyo Show

It's not clear where this will manifest itself in production. Is this a Teana replacement (with possible design cues showing up in the next Maxima) or a Fuga replacement? Doesn't look big enough to be a Q replacement so I doubt that. Anyway, attractive, near-production concept from Nissan.

Looks like an Avalon with LS 460 exhaust pipes.

Looks somewhat like an Avalon with some LS460 cues, and I definitely see some Maxima in there too. My guess is this is a hint at the next-gen Maxima.

I'm thinking Maxima myself. There had been reports that there were some Mercedes CLS cues in the profile and you can clearly see that in the 3/4 rear view. Clean up the front end and insert the Nissan America style grille and you have what is probably the 09 Maxima.

So the Maxima will go from imitating the GS to imitating the Avalon .

One thing I find odd is how long the front and rear overhangs are.

Well the proper market to target would be the Avalon, that's what technically what class it does battle with. Although the Maxima seems to trounce the Avalon in sales from what I've see.

The front overhang is especially long.

Didn't the current Maxima (04) debut before the current GS (05)?

I seems pretty nice but yeah, the front overhang is a bit longish. Some styling of Avalon, MB E series and the usual other blends. What's the deal these days with rear quarter windows, the majority among other brands also have that same angular rise at the bottom?

Avalon routinely outsells Maxima. Although both have been going down in sales recently.

Don't pretty much most cars imitate Toyota/Lexus?

Thankfully not. It's great for T/L but I'd hate to see everyone going that way.
