Nav Update 2007 will be released on Oct 2nd 2007!!! (says Ryan and IronToad).

$299 at your local dealership. Irontoad doesn't get a discount on this product.

Several threads on this already in the model forums. Sewell has their normal 10% off for CL members and I'd guess they'll do a group buy in a couple of months (they ususally do with new nav versions)

Whoever buys this first, please test the override feature that was there in v5 (but went away in v6) and let us know

I placed my order about 20 minute ago. It will be shipped out Oct 1st, I should have it Oct 2nd and will update everyone.

The 2008 models should have version 7 already. A few Toyota owners with 2008 models have version 7. Note that some 2008 models still come with v6.

For V7, the I Agree is gone but the speed lockout is there. No word on the override.

I got my DVD in yesterday (a week early).

Please walk me through the over ride feature again.

Also, the "I Agree" button still apears when you start the car.

Menu, DVD...
tap top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left, bottom right.
You should see a blue settings screen.
Hold your finger on the override button and it should change color if it works.
It works on my v5.

Do a search for "hybrid disk".

There is supposedly a way to create a disk that uses an older LOADING.KWI file which has the override but uses the newer map data.

hybrid disks are risky
if anything goes wrong, the whole nav comp can get hosed and has to be replaced or reflashed
which is expensive thus i dont think the risk is worth it
i do like the hidden menu where it shows how many sats u are connected to and shows your longitude and latitude though
such a shame they took the hidden menu and override away in 07, i was hoping it would come back and i get get one
