The photographers at spy firm Hidden Image have snapped a single shot of a new Ferrari model under wraps near the Italian automaker's Maranello headquarters.

Supposedly a successor to the Ferrari F430, the new car would likely arrive as a 2010 model. Ferrari started offering the F430 as a 2005 model, and the 360 as a 2000, suggesting a five-year lifespan is typical for these vehicles.

The Ferrari F355 was also sold for just five years.

According to Hidden Image, the car will feature radical new styling scheme, the new option of all-wheel drive, reduced body weight and improved handling from innovative adaptive suspension damping.

Since F1 racing cars have switched back to V8 power, expect the F430's successor to feature a V8, rather than a V10 to match Lamborghini's Gallardo.
