These pics have been posted to death, but just for good measure that is NOT the next-gen USDM Corolla.

No. Thats what the magazines WANT you to think... the mass populace doesnt care. They want something that isn't ugly, something reliable, good on gas, and inexpensive.

They must be the same people that ONLY reserve Sunday for driving too.
No again, unless this was meant to be a joke This is the average commuter we are talking about. Be happy that you are in a minority of auto enthusiasts. Most people just don't care; thats the reality of it. It is also why so many of us complain about most of these stupid magazines that try to judge everything by how well it can run on a road course, or how many mph it runs in the slalom.

Love the interior. It's finally stylish but the exterior does have some Avalon resemblance (the front end).

Bingo, and clearly 90% of the posters in this thread think Motor Trend is the bible
Saying a Civic is Sportier than a Corolla is like saying a beer with 5% alcohol is stronger than one with 4%

I'm sorry, what?

Our 2003 Corolla was an Americanized Asian Corolla that's been around since 2000. I think after 7 years, the world deserves a new Corolla.

I've driven both. Yes they're both economic cars, but the Civic does handles better and it is more fun to drive. Even my buddy's 1993 honda accord coupe sounds better and feels better around turns.

I wouldn't buy a corolla to toss around, but i would buy a civic to do so.
