Aside from the silly looks, he could end up overheating the brakes. Those wheels look like they may have too much metal and not enough spaces to breathe ( you can't really see them clearly from the fuzzy pictures). Auto manufacturers and most aftermarket wheel manufacturers, today, put air holes and spaces in their wheels and wheel covers for a reason....to allow air circulation to keep the brake rotors cool, keep them from warping, keep the brake pads from glazing up from heat, and keep the brake fluid from heating to the boiling point under extreme conditions. Put on wheels or wheel covers with too much metal or plastic in them, or wheels that curve inward too much and cover too much of the brake rotors, and you could be asking for trouble. This kind of damage, obviously, is not warranty-covered either.

I've seen a person rolling around Boston (Mission Hill) with rims like these. They are not covers. There is a center cap. And those two slits on the wheels are the only thing that lets in air. I haven't seen the car in a while, I'm guessing it crashed and totaled.

haha, L.I.C. but doesn't mean he's from Qns so we can't necessarily claim 'this' as one of ours.
That's Right, there is a center cap, it's just hard to see within the grates....
When the sun reflects off these rims, you really have to be careful.
