My new car!!!
.
.
Please excuse the pictures, its dusty, been sitting for a few months, They were taken right after he pulled it out, heh.
but its great. power everything, new rebuilt everything, AC works, as well does heater.
I just think its really funny that Im going to be driving this untill I find the SC300 I want. Its my transition car between selling mine, and buying a new car, just a cheap beater. I bought it for $1000, and I allready have people offering me $2000. I might do some cheap fixes and try to get 2500, woot!!
I guess its funny to me, cause I used to have another beater civic so I could leave my car a mint weekend car, and I had a BABIED 83 civic....I kinda miss it....But..when you buy a car for 500, and sell it for 1300, its hard to say no.

Big balla'!
I have an '89 Camry beater which I love. She has all the dents and bruises from my sister, brother, and I when we all started learning how to drive. Then I took her to N.Y. to suffer the harsh realities of driving on icy roads. I still have her and I won't let her go...

Also, consider that given any kind of reasonable care, the average life span of a Civic or Corolla is around 200,000 miles...and I have seen some go 300,000.
The only real annoyance about driving the 80's vintage ones, particularly from earlier in the decade, is that you have to put up with carburators and their inevitable drivability problems. Fuel injection was a LONG-overdue feature that the whole industry should have adopted years before it finally did.

And......put enough HP/torque into a FWD car even without a pump and you WILL have " Power " steering.
(Torque steer, of course ) .

Its all good dude. Looks like something I am driving right now as well. I had to rent a beater for two weeks ($140 per week) to take to mountains into snow. I am not taking my daily driver there
