When you guys sell your car ...
Are you sad?
Some1 was just here looking at mine & we went for a drive; now I'm sitting here feeling really sad about selling the IS.
Getting something different is fun and all, but I really didn't expect to feel this unhappy about seeing the IS go. I'm thinking about the next car & it's like *yea, but it's not my IS*.
The person that came to look didn't buy it tonight, but just standing there talking about a price... I know no one is going to appreciate your car the way you will after X number of years so you value your car higher than the new guy will ...
IIIIIII dunnno ... just thought I would share & see what other people have felt when their car is sold.

If the new vehicle you are getting serves your needs (or will serve your needs) better than the old one, then I don't see any reason to be sad. I had an yellow IS300 that was a real eyeful, and nice to drive on dry roads, but it s***ed on snow and ice, even with all-season tires, traction control, and transmission snow-mode.....and my careful driving. The Subaru Outback that replaced it, though not as flashy or powerful, was a far better daily driver for me and my needs. It can also carry a lot more in the back, and burns cheaper fuel.

When I was a Firebird fanatic (80's) I would buy my next bird before selling the previous one & swap the best parts onto the next one. 20 years later I had parts of my 1st on my last. This can ease the sense of loss
this is the exact reason i dont sell my cars to close friends. i rather trade it in. If i see the car being abused, it would kill me. rather just be in the blind as to what happens to it.
