Cadillac STS Facelift SPY PHOTOS

The Cadillac STS will be undergoing a mild facelift for the 2008 model year, and we've caught the best example yet of the changes.
We’ve been told that the STS, at least for the U.S. market, will be powered by a 3.6-liter High Feature V6. And, as seen here, will soon sport an Escalade-style grille and Euro-style clear taillight lenses. We’ve also noticing more mesh in the grille, and more fine chrome details throughout.
Expect to see this freshened STS at dealerships next year. But if you look closely at the prototype that we’ve caught here in the western part of the United States – you’ll notice a large license plate area moulded in the front – and unique badging in the rear: this is a Chinese STS prototype!

Had that car as a rental. It's horrible.
The interior is badly designed. There is like a 3" gap between you and the door but not on the other side. The car smells like cheap plastic that after a while you'll want to stick your head outside. It has too much low end power and not much anything lese. It handles worse than a boat. Etc etc.

I think it's STILL FUGLY!
I think those tail lights look horrible.. Clear lights don't look good on every friggin car. Personally, I think they only belong on the cars that are popular with the fast & furious crowd.
Holy crap. I just went to the Caddy website and the STS is 71K fully loaded!!!!! I had no idea it was that much. Doesnt seem to offer many more features over a GS, hell even a ES350. Who in the hell do they think they are?!?!

GM, that's who they think they are. At least they're not overpriced rebadges like they used to be. Step your game up GM.
As for GM being whacked with prices; I can only hope that people don't pay the absurd prices and we get a lot of the car makers to come down to "real" value pricing. An STS isn't worth 71K and an XLR-V isn't worth 100K. Sorry but you have to earn the right to charge that much not just think it and Cadillac hasn't done that yet (Eg. Just because I think I'm rich and start dressing a bit more upscale doesn't make me rich).
